A recent online video has gone viral of a woman from Malaysia beating up a thief that tries to rob her in front of her own home. The video has reached well over 700,000 hits and counting.
The quick home video shows a car entering a driveway gated home. The passenger, 28 year old Germaine Yeap, steps out of the car. Not knowing that they were followed, 2 thieves on a motorcycle stopped in front of the home and one thief gets off. The thief quickly sneaks in to try and snatch Yeap’s purse.
Little did he know, he was in for a big surprise. Germaine holds on tightly to the bag then all of a sudden drops some hard flying knees to the thief dropping him to the floor. These hard knee attacks were followed by some overhead punches.
You can then see the other motorcyclist rushing in with a weapon to aid the fallen thief and pull him away from the scene.
In an interview with Germaine, she states:
“In the video, I fought back because I assessed the situation with my muay thai training and knew that I could take him down,” Yeap said, according to the UK Metro.
Yaep also soon revealed that this video was also a staged stunt to promote a Malaysian crime awareness campaign. She hopes that females everywhere learn self defense to protect themselves if a situation like this ever arises.
