With the growing Asian population in California, the world famous Disneyland theme park has added some special new dishes to the menu at one of their food shops. These aren’t your typical fast food you usually see like burgers, pizza, or chicken tenders.
The food menu includes:
- Whole Fish served family style (Vietnamese)
- Japchae (Korean)
- Galbi (Korean)
- Pho (Vietnamese)
The restaurant in the park is called Paradise Garden Grill. It seems Disney’s marketing team is ramping up to cater more towards the Asian demographic. An employee mentioned that this is only a seasonal menu is running until March.
Who knows if Disney will continue to make this run all year long, but it’s nice to know that a huge global brand like Disney is paying attention to details like this.
We decided to try out two of the items on the menu. Here’s our quick review below:
Galbi (Korean BBQ ribs)
Portion: 4/10
Taste: 8/10
Pho (Vietnamese Beef Noodle Soup)
Portion: 4/10
Taste: Not on the scale
On the menu, they also had a some Asian desserts and even milk tea. Overall the food was just okay. Although the food wasn’t truly authentic Asian cuisines, Disney gets an A for effort.
Of course, if you really wanted fresh quality Asian food, there are plenty of other amazing restaurants within miles of the park. Orange County and Los Angeles are known to be the leaders in the food and restaurant industry.
