The film adaptation for the best-selling trilogy The Hunger Games has cast stuntman/actor Chris Mark as a “District 5 Tribute Boy.â€
Although Chris Mark plays a minor role in this film, many Asian-Americans who have been frustrated with the lack of Asian representation in big-budget films will be pleasantly surprised when the young actor debuts his exciting stunt work on the big screen. (Marks is half-Chinese, half-British.)
Marks has done stunts in popular movies including Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Kick-Ass, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, and Jumper.

The Hunger Games story takes place in a post-apocalyptic world called Panem. Every year one boy and one girl tribute from each of the 12 districts of Panem are selected to fight to the death in an outdoor arena. The event known as “The Hunger Games” is televised by the corrupt government as means of public intimidation. As the competition carries on loyalties will be tested and humanity will be questioned.
The plot line is reminiscent of the Japanese novel, Battle Royale, written by Koushun Takami, that tells of schoolchildren who are also forced to fight each other to the death.
The main stars of The Hunger Games include: Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Lenny Kravitz with Stanley Tucci and Donald Sutherland, Wes Bentley, Toby Jones, Alexander Ludwig, Isabelle Fuhrman, and Amandla Stenberg.
