Glee is starting to bolster up focus on the singing abilities of Harry Shum Jr. who plays “Mike Chang” on the popular American musical comedy-drama television series. Harry is a multi-talented dancer, actor, and choreographer and is considered to be New Direction’s (The “Glee” club) best male dancer. It wasn’t until Season 3 that Mike Chang was upgraded to be a series regular. Glee started to focus on his life and giving him more room for character development and showcasing his talents outside of just dancing.
Fox recently aired a tribute episode to the king of pop, Michael Jackson, who was a huge inspiration to Harry. Artie Abrams (Kevin McHale) and Mike Chang (Harry Shum Jr.) killed it in last night’s episode (Jan. 31, 2012) with their take on a collaborative duet Michael Jackson shared with his sister Janet Jackson on “Scream.”
