Jackfroot Exclusive Interview With Nida Taylor

J: How did you first get introduced into the modeling industry?
N: I started modeling when I was 14. It started off with a random gig for Macy’s and it just rolled from there. It’s hilarious because I swear I used to be a tom boy lol

J: Where would you like to see your modeling career go?
N: I know modeling doesn’t last forever. But I want to take my career to it’s highest peak. As a petite model, it’s harder for me but I never gave up and I never will. I am doing well for myself and learning new things daily. I think the biggest mistake in life is not trying. I am trying my hardest and it’s definitely paying off.

J: Who are some of your biggest influences that inspire you today?
N: I love Jeri Lee. I love how petite she is and yet she made herself a supermodel in the import industry. Minka Kelly is definitely my role model. She went through so many things in her life that’s very similar to mine and I could definitely relate to her. She is nothing short of amazing.

J: After you’re done with modeling, what are your next plans?
N: I am going to school right now for Fashion Merchandising. I want to be apart of the fashion industry. Modeling is my job right now/ stepping stones toward my future job. It opens a lot of doors and I meet so many people from the fashion industry!

J: What are some things you’d like to see changed in the world for the better?
N: This reminds me of my pagent in 2009…Ms.teen new york lol. I would say world peace but that’s so cliche and impossible.
I want others to be more passionate. Towards their job, the earth and others. I want people to actually start caring and be less selfish.

J: What are some of your favorite name brands or fashion lines?
N: BCBG Max Azria, Forever 21, Michael Kors, J Crew, Club Monaco

J: Outside of modeling, What are some of your favorite hobbies to do for fun?
N: I love reading lol. Not on my macbook. I actually love reading books. I love sports and I may just kick any girls’ ass in soccer, basketball, boxing and even swimming.

J: What other work do you do besides modeling?
N: Have you heard of the saying, all the aspiring models/actors are servers as well? I may not be an aspiring model ( 5 years) but I definitely am a server! It’s easy money and since I pay for every single bill myself (school, rent, food, phone..) , I don’t mind having a second job at all. Even if that means I am a server. Visit me at applebees guys! 🙂

J: What do you look for in a guy?
N: Personality is a big deal for me. You may have the looks and the abs but if you can’t make me laugh and you’re not down to earth, that’s a deal breaker!

J: All of your male fans out there want to know if you are you single, dating, or it’s complicated?
N: I was single for the longest time but currently, I am dating someone. Lol you would think it’s easy for models, but it’s definitely harder for us! It was so hard to find someone that I like who understands my job and what it comes with it.

J: If you were stranded on an island, what are the 3 things you would bring with you?
N: Lots of food lol, water, and lots of books!
