FRESNO (Oct 26, 2021) – A man, who has yet to be identified, was caught stealing an article of clothing from a college student’s washing machine at a local laundromat in Fresno.
The article of clothing stolen from the student’s laundry was identified to be a pair of panties.
“Basically, I went to the laundromat because our dryer at home was broken. I was with my brother’s girlfriend because I was too scared to go alone,” explained by the student.
The laundromat “SuperClean” is located at the crossing between Barstow Avenue and North First Street within the Headliner Shopping Center.
“As soon as I walked in, I noticed a guy staring at me while smirking and smiling. He just kept staring at me the whole time basically. I felt unsafe and uncomfortable,” the student detailed while attending to her errand.
The picture above was taken from the victim’s video where she confronted the man about stealing her article of clothing.
This stolen laundry incident isn’t just apparent just in Fresno, but even in several countries where a Japanese man had also been found with over 700 articles of stolen bras and panties. Numerous cases occur within the United States but most go unreported.
“It was one of the most uncomfortable interactions I’ve ever had.” as said by the college student regarding this incident. “I just want this predator to be caught so that other women won’t be victimized by a disgusting occurrence such as this.”
We contacted the business owner and they refused to make any comment regarding the incident.
With some assistance from other people there, the student was able to obtain an image of the man’s license plate in hopes that police can identify and detain the man.
Do you recognize this man? Police have yet respond or make a formal report about the incident.
