After years of work, a couple of mixtapes and a slew of catchy singles, Florida’s Hip hop duo, D-League, finally debuts their 9-track EP “Life Up.â€
The duo consists of rappers, Demo and Uncut, a modern day Smilez and Southstar by superficial comparisons. The EP shows a musical set full of variety for the casual or critical listener. There are favorites for every type of fan. “Denzel†and “Ape Shit,†are the club bangers of the album, while songs like “Music is Amazing,†“Big Dreams, 2 Pac Nightmares,†or “The Good Die Young,†show a deeper and more relatable side of the track listing through storyline.
The name of the album itself is supposed to represent evolution in the group’s musical journey, a phrase coined by Demo during a recording session. Followers of D-League may note that this is one project that fully showcases their musical maturity.
“It’s a very big milestone in both our lives and careers. To us, it’s the transition of being minor to being major. This project is all original and gives you more of how our album would sound as opposed to a mixtape. [There’s] More concept and you’re able to know who we are through our music rather than just one hot song,†says Uncut of D-League.
D-League’s  first official tour “Life Up” starts January 19th at FAU in South Florida. D-League will be visiting different cities and states like Miami, Orlando, Tampa, ATL, NYC, LA, Las Vegas and more.
