‘Good Doctor‘ is a 2013 Korean Drama about an Autistic Savant, Park Shi-on (Joo Won), who enters the field of Pediatric Surgery, but faces conflicts with his patients and peers due to his emotional hindrances.
The American remake will be produced by David Shore (House) and Lost and Hawaii Five-O star Daniel Dae Kim. Kim originally pitched the series to CBS, but it was later picked up by ABC instead.
Freddie Highmore, the breakout star of Bates Motel, will be playing the lead, as Dr. Shaun Murphy, in the remake of The Good Doctor. The show will debut this fall on ABC every Monday at 9pm CST.
