House of Smashed Balloons Remix Album by Teddy Rockspin

The Weeknd is a Toronto-based R&B singer named Abel Tesfaye (born , 1990).Songs recorded under The Weeknd name first leaked in late 2010, though the identity of the individual behind the project was initially unknown. The Weeknd released a nine-song album, House of Balloons, on 21 March 2011. His style has been classified as “Prog RnB” and “Hipster RnB” based on sub-mainstream status and “hipster” followers. The album is a part of a trilogy which includes Thursday and Echoes of Silence, to be released in the summer and autumn respectively. The song “High for This” is featured in the promo for the final season of the HBO show “Entourage.”

One of our very own official Jackfroot DJs, Teddy Rockspin, was musically inspired after discovering The Weeknd. After checking out the House of Balloons album, he decided to make his very own remix to the entire album and added a twist by calling it House of Smashed Balloons.
