The Guys over at Fujii have released the Fujifilm X-Pro1 Digital Camera accompanied by 24 Youtube Videos giving a hands on preview of the device. After watching all the videos, you can see the sophistication and the appreciable amount of time spent on this device.
The videos can all be found here, and they cover first hand previews and demonstrations spanding from docal plan shutter, aperture blade, to shooting, the play back menu, controls and more.
Though is it’s a comparable alternative to the traditional bulky DSLR cameras, it is a great HD video camera as well as a high quality point and shoot style device. The pros being it is much slimmer than the traditional DSLR counter part and mirrorless systems have a more advanced technology geared towards High Definition video recording.
If you’re an action, sports photographer I would recommend keeping with your traditional DSLR since mirrorless systems tend to have slower shutter speeds.
The Fuji X-Pro1 is due to be released to the Japanese market Feb. 18. Eventually trickling into the US market, it will have a MSRP of $1,700USD for the Camera Body. Available lens are the X-Pro1 35mm f/1.4 and 18mm f/2.0 both retailing for $500USD, and the 60mm f/2.4 Macro Lens retailing at $600USD.
