Youtuber JP Lambiase of HeLLthy Junk Food set out to recreate the coveted McDonald’s Szechuan Sauce made famous by Rick and Morty by cross-referencing an original sample of the sauce from 1998.
And we are extremely thankful since many of us were not able to try the sauce ourselves! McDonald underestimated the demand for their sauce, having limited quantities run out across participating locations.
Even Ross Butler took to Twitter to share his excitement on release day.

Butler shared his sauce hunting adventure (alongside castmate Justin Prentice) on his Instagram story, but the McDonald’s he was at had run out of the sauce before he got to the front of the line. He decided to take some photos with fans instead.

Ingredients
* 2 Tbsp Hoisin Sauce
* ½ tsp White Vinegar
* ½ tsp Cracked Black Pepper
* ¼ tsp Lemon Juice
* ⅛ tsp Marmite
* ⅛ tsp Sesame Oil
Instructions
1. Mix ingredients listed above together
2. Cover and chill
3. Serve with Chicken McNuggets for full experience
