It’s not everyday that someone goes from rags to riches, but when you hear about a story like that, it just moves you. That is the case with Journey’s lead singer Arnel Pineda. He went from the slums of Manila to becoming a world-wide star overnight. Now there’s a movie to document his journey (no pun intended).
“Don’t Stop Believin’: Everyman’s Journey” is a film directed by Ramona S. Diaz and is documentary that allows us to see what it’s like behind the scenes of Arnel’s life while being the front man of the band.
Here’s the synopsis:
Journey, the iconic, quintessentially American rock band who recorded eight platinum-certified albums during their heyday between 1978 and 1986, has chosen a lead singer in a manner befitting this internet age: they found him on YouTube.
Currently, the movie is need of donations to complete the process of creating the film. They’ll need the help of all the fans and supporters! Let’s help them make this happen. To make a donation, click here. A story like this needs to be seen.

I’m a HUGH Perry fan. I said over and over he can’t replace Perry. However I found out he can sing Journeys song in his own way. Not as to duplicate Perry or to mock him but to bring Journey song to us in his voice. I seen Journey last night (8-17-12) at the Kentucky state fair and I was truly blown away. I was so pleasantly surprised at how Arnel could sing, His energy on the stage was contagious. I now have to say he has earned this journeys fan. Thank you for sticking it out. I have no doubt it couldn’t have been easy shoes to slid into. As they say the show must go on, so Arnel ROCK ON MAN,ROCK ON!!! 2 THUMBS UP FROM Kentucky
