Apple’s recent launch event should take notes from Alibaba’s chairman and China’s richest man Jack Ma, who kicked off his company’s 18th anniversary with a dramatic Michael Jackson dance performance. Billionaire Hoang Kieu, a Vietnamese-American who lives in California recently traveled to Houston on September 11th, 2017, to hand over a generous check of $5 million to Houston’s Mayor which will serve to donate to victims of Hurricane Harvey. Earlier this year in March, Kieu also donated $5 million to the victims of the flooding in San Jose, California. Daniel Dae Kim is in talks to replace Ed Skrein in Lionsgate’s “Hellboy” reboot starring David Harbour. The studio was quick to replace Skrein after the actor exited the film in late August following public backlash, which reignited conversations about whitewashing in Hollywood, over him being cast in a role that was originally an Asian character in the comics. United Airlines will not be fined by the Department of Transportation after officers forcibly removed a 69-year-old doctor from a flight at Chicago’s O‘Hare International Airport in April, which left him bloodied and disoriented. In a May 12 letter that was made public from the passenger advocacy group, Flyers Rights, the department notified United Airlines that they would not face fines from the federal government for pulling doctor David Dao from an overbooked flight, according to the Chicago Tribune.
