Born in Torrance, California, Arika Sato is an L.A. Native, Japanese-American, and fluent in Japanese! You might remember Arika from MTV’s hit reality TV Show “Paris Hilton’s My New BFF†where she was nicknamed the “Japanese Princess†by the heiress. But she’s definitely not some prissy princess! Arika first realized her dream of becoming a television journalist as a pre-teen, growing up watching E! News as her favorite TV show. After high school, she attended the University of California, San Diego where she received a double B.A. in Communications and Japanese Studies with Honors.
Graduating college in a quick span of three years, Arika returned to her true passion—entertainment—and relocated back to Los Angeles. She has appeared on shows on MTV, Spike TV, HBO, CW and Starz. She also landed an internship at the premiere entertainment media outlet, E! News and worked in the production department developing current shows. She is currently working on her master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Southern California.
