Amy Fay Exclusive Jackfroot.com Interview
How did you get introduced to the modeling industry?
A: For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had an interest in modeling. I was 16 years old when I did my first casual photoshoot.
Who are some people that have been a positive influence to you in the Import Modeling Scene?
A: First comes to mind would have to be one of my favorite photographers Rey Trajano. He was one of the first to see me though his lens, and from there other photographers started noticing me. I’m always surrounded by positive people who give me positive energy in the import scene. They know who they are! ;]
Being a hot and beautiful girl, you must have broken a lot of hearts growing up. How many boyfriends have you had? Also have you ever been dumped?
A: I’ve had only ONE that i can truly say was my “boyfriend”, unfortunately we’re no longer together… but I’m happily in a new and refreshing relationship as of NOW! 😀 Ever been dumped?! hmm CHEATED ON, yes!
We noticed a nice tattoo on your shoulder. When did you get your first ink and what does it say or mean?
A: On my lower left collar bone it states “L’amore triumphe de tout” meaning “Love Conquers All” in the French term. I got my first tattoo when I ditched school during my lunch break with my best friend. Not having a driver’s license, I took my friend’s car and took off out of the student parking lot. I almost got caught!! Haha good times. I share the same tattoo with one of my good high school girlfriend. $30 bucks for the tat. Memory = Priceless!!
Being 100% Vietnamese, most parents would want their kids to become lawyers, doctors, or engineers. How do they feel about you being a model?
A: YES i am 100% Viet! Growing up as the only child I was very rebellious just like any other girl lol… kinda… My parents always wanted me to have a degree and a stable job. But for myself, when I grown up I just want to be HAPPY. =)
Have you ever tried jackfruit and how do you like it?
A: I fuckin LOVE JACKFRUIT! I pick at them and munch on them during work… hahah shhhh…
What is the best place you’ve ever traveled to and why?
A: So far Malaysia, because it was my first gig overseas, and I got to travel there on my own! Malaysia is such a beautiful country! I can go on and on about why it’s the best so far but you should all go and see for yourself. :]
What are your favorite fashion brands that you like?
A: Fashion brands?? I’m a simple rip jeans, tank top, and t-shirt kinda girl lol. I don’t have a favorite brand. And another FACT about me is that I don’t own any LV, Chanel, Fendi, or Coach purse. I hate purses and refuse to use those expensive things. Yuck! All I need is big pockets 😀
What do you enjoy doing for fun when you’re not working or modeling?
A: Lay down and lounge around in my undies and tank. Hang out with friends, cook, watch movies, in-n-out, and FACEBOOK!
Working at Café Lu, how long are your work hours?
A: I’m not on schedule, I work on my own time haha lucky, lucky! but i used to work 7 days a week!
What are some tips or advice you’d like to give to aspiring young models who are trying to make it in the modeling industry today?
A: Number One Rule: Be YOURself. Don’t fake the funk. And stay humble.
Can you tell us some of your upcoming projects or shoots you have that you’d like to let Jackfroot readers know about?
A: Importfest. Montreal Canada with Corissa Fur and Steve Bitanga on Oct.1. I’ll be signing at the AEM booth at Formula Drift on Oct.8th in Irwindale. AND Malaysia all of October for Mean Machines in Penang. And much much more!
