In response to the rising acknowledgment of Asian-Americans in the entertainment industry today – the team behind Jackfroot and Ambitious Productions bring you a monthly event showcasing talented performing artists, singers, lyricists and rappers. This event is held at Motif in San Jose, California every last Thursday of the month. This month it will be on September 22nd, 2011!
Jackfroot and AMB believe in the power of potential, the diamonds in the rough that hardly get noticed, and as Asian-Americans we confront barriers and stereotypes that will soon be shattered. With tremendous local talent in our industry today, Jackfroot and AMB seek to provide a medium for local and talented artists to develop their abilities and to share these abilities with the greater face of our American culture. Every local artist admires to be on stage, and Jackfroot and AMB seek to spark and encourage artists to harness their drive to develop their talents and abilities so we can all move forward together!
As a cause and effect of the local artist showcase, Jackfroot has recently signed 2 artists. First, is EQ, a artist known for his deeper lyrical intentions, vocal tone and hunger for development. Second, is
Marielle Athenna, a powerful singer influenced by her deep soulful connection to gospel and R&B. Her influences from artists such as Alicia Keys and John Legend keep her lungs vibrating and aspirations thriving! These are two performers of the local artist showcase – showing the prowess and potential in this growing monthly event.
Whether you are an aspiring artist, dedicated supporter or big fan, swing by this monthly event hosted by Jackfroot and AMB every last Thursday of the month at Motif Lounge located on 389 South First Street, San Jose, California.
