The 5th Annual Streamy Awards partnered with VH1 on September 17th, 2015 for its first-ever television broadcast aimed to honor the best in online video and the creators behind them. Although its been a little over a week since the airing, we’re still impressed by the proportion of Asian American talent and creators that are dominating the digital space!
Although there have been few opportunities in traditional media for Asian-American entertainers, digital platforms have helped transition these individuals from “Youtube Celebrities” into validated, mainstream stars.
