Last night’s episode of American Idol was heart wrenching when the judges had to choose between our very own Thia Megia and Jessica Cunningham for the final female spot in the top 24. For a while, it seemed as though Thia’s days were numbered.
Cunningham had already auditioned for the show 7 times, was the only female “rock” artist on the show and seemed more “marketable” compared to Thia. To top it off, right before the judges made their announcement, Cunningham stated that it’s her birthday to try and persuade the judges to vote for her. However, in the end, it didn’t matter, the judges chose Thia to be in the Top 24 for this season and we’re extremely excited for her.
