In recent news, you may have heard of a released segment from the Jimmy Kimmel Show on ABC that had some disturbing statements. The segment began during the “Kids Table” where Jimmy speaks with kids about current events around the world. The topic of discussion was regarding the US debt and the amount owed to China.
Jimmy asked the kids during the live show how we can address and fix the ballooning national debt. One of the kids suggested and stated we should, “Kill all the people in China”. This raised many eyebrows and concerns amongst people worldwide, especially since this was aired on national television.
Questions arise as to how producers of ABC even let a situation like this air and happen. ABC has taken some measures into their own hands by ending the “Kid Table” segment of the show. The next problem they have to deal with are the major protests knocking on their doors. There has even been a petition on WhiteHouse.gov to demand their attention and address the issue. This petition received over 100,000 signatures. ABC had a chance not to air this racist program that promotes racial hatred, however producers decided to let it run.
