Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. have been back and forth and at it in terms of when a fight should take place or if it ever will. This is nothing new. Sure enough, it appears they are also NOT on the same page when it comes to New York Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin.
Mayweather recently slammed Lin when he tweeted: “Jeremy Lin is a good player but all the hype is because he’s Asian. Black players do what he does every night and don’t get the same praise.”
In contrast to this, the WBO welterweight champion is trying to arrange a meet up with Lin at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, while promoting his upcoming June 9 fight with Timothy Bradley.
Pacquiao has always been a big basketball fan. One of his favorite pastimes is to play basketball. He also owns a basketball team himself, the MP-Gensan Warriors in his motherland, the Philippines. Coincidentally, same as Lin, Pacquiao plays point guard and wears No. 17.
Let’s all be in the lookout as to how their get together will end. Maybe shoot some hoops after.
