Jackfroot Exclusive Interview With Chengman
J: Have you ever visited the U.S? If so where and did you like it?
CM: Yes, I have visited the U.S. many times. But, my most memorable experiences are my trips to Hawaii. I really enjoy the weather there and the people are super friendly.
J: Would you ever put Sriracha on ice cream?
CM:When I eat any type of hot sauce I start to sweat depending on how much I use. So no, I would never put Sriracha on anything that I eat, let alone on my ice cream.
J: You seem like you love to eat. What is currently in your fridge?
CM: I seem like I love to eat? Are you calling me fat? …… Just joking! I do love to eat! You can find tons of organic foods in my fridge because I’m really health conscious…. most of the time.
J: How did you first get started in making YouTube videos?
CM:Before I started YouTube, I never watched videos and thought it was a complete waste of time. I would only use YouTube to play music when I would workout at home. One day, my cousins were talking about Kevjumba and how his videos were really funny. I had no clue who they were talking about and they made fun of me for it. So I searched him up on YouTube and found it interesting how anyone could create their own content and upload for everyone to see. So I decided to create a random video when I went on a cruise and I showed it to all of my friends, which they thought was very funny. So from there I continued making videos and now I have discovered that I enjoy entertaining people.
J: What are some characteristics you would look for in your ideal dream girl?
CM: My ideal dream girl is spontaneous, open to trying new things, funny, considerate, ambitious, and supportive.
J: What are some of your favorite clothing lines and brands you love to wear?
CM: I used to shop at expensive stores but I realized you don’t have to spend lots of money to look good. Now I mainly shop at Zara, Armani exchange, and H&M.
J: Are there any books that you’ve read and liked that you wouldn’t mind sharing with us?
CM:The only books I read are my textbooks for school. I’m pretty sure you don’t want to hear about finance or economics.
J: Can you tell us what goes on in an average week with the Chengman?
CM: My average week consists of studying, working out, and getting rowdy with friends.
J: What are your thoughts on Asian Americans in media and entertainment today?
CM:The Asian community in entertainment today has really grown due to the amount of positive responses. More and more artists are being discovered and it will only continue to grow.
J: Have you ever eaten jackfruit?
CM: No, but I would like to.
J: What are some tips you can give to other YouTubers that want to start out?
CM: 1) Come up with a unique username that represents yourself or your group well.
2) Find an idea or something unique that you think that would be marketable.
3) Make sure you actually enjoy it or else you won’t last.
4) Focus on producing great content before worrying about the views and subscribers. They will eventually come.
J: Where do you see yourself 5 years from now? 10 years?
CM:In 5 years I would like to be continuing my Youtube Channels and also be working in a Marketing firm or starting my own business.
In 10 years, I hope to be travelling a lot and settled down with a family.
