We recently received news that one of the hottest rising Asian American directors will be directing the new G.I. Joe movie aimed to release in summer of 2012. You might know this director from the Step Up dance movies and The LXD: The Legend of Extraordinary Dancers. That’s right! Jon M. Chu is officially directing the sequel to G.I. Joe.
Chu is definitely stepping it up in the Hollywood business and now has a big shot to prove he has what it takes to be the next leading director in the industry. In Retaliation, the G.I.
