Karaoke has always been a huge and popular hobby in many Asian countries, this including China.
Recently, Tesla Motors has entered the market introducing a new microphone for in-car karaoke that will be exclusively available in China.
Officially named “TeslaMic”, the automaker unveiled their new gadget along with the Chinese New Year software update which will automatically pair with Tesla’s system.
The company released the TeslaMic to work with Leishi KTV, a karaoke system that is being included as part of the update.
Before the Leash KTV app however, they already had a “Caraoke” feature. Though, with this new app and update, it’ll allow users to enjoy a much wider range of tunes that the user can choose.
Priced at roughly 1,199 Chinese Yuan or $188 USD, the TeslaMic arrives in a pack of two in order to support duets in a multi-user experience.
While the TeslaMic is only available in China, the automaker had also expanded their US trademark to audio products.
It could mean that Tesla is preparing to launch the TeslaMic in other markets.
Many avid karaoke enthusiasts are preparing, in hopes that the TeslaMic will soon be in hands outside of the Chinese market.
