Bay Area film fans, today launches the 30th San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival!
As a big supporter of Asian American cinema, I always look forward to this film festival particularly because it’s in my home turf, the Bay Area!! Not to mention, it’s celebrating Asians on the big screens!! It’s crazy to me to come to the realization that I’ve been attending the SFIAAFF for over a decade now! I missed the first half of the celebration of awesome film festivities, but am looking to continue to post this special event on my calendar for years!
The festivities kick off tonight with the Opening Night presentation Quentin Lee’s coming-of-age drama White FrogÂ

Featuring Booboo Stewart, Harry Shum Jr., Joan Chen and B.D. Wong.
Another film I’m excited to catch is KNOTS starring Sung Kang - one of my favorite actors.

Sung is primarily known for his role as Han Seoul-Oh in the films Better Luck Tomorrow, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift,Fast & Furious, and Fast Five.
In the Bay Area from tonight until March 18th? Check out the schedule guide and see if you and some film fanatics can squeeze in a flick or two – or more!
